“Wickedly funny”

Henley Standard

Do you need a stand up who knows how to talk to a business audience and helps you fulfil your commitments to diversity and inclusion with honesty and humour? Get me in to perform for your team and we’ll explore what it is to be a ‘Middle Class Gangster’.

“Thank you for a wickedly funny set at our SAP Business Women’s Network event today. Unbelievably funny – and who’d have thought those topics could be?”

Claudia Belardo

What my stand up is about

Ultimately, mine is a social mobility story. Starting off from a low socio-economic background before accidentally developing a career in IT which led to 10 years of being outrageously well-paid at Microsoft, I went from worrying about what social services were going to say to worrying that my boss was going to lose their temper in a meeting over virtualisation metrics. And then I left, because I realised I’d rather boil my head than attend another Quarterly Business Review.

Today I find myself trying to square what happens when you go from having no heating to having underfloor heating and use my stand up as a way to explore this while giving audiences a really good laugh.

“What a great session, had some fantastic feedback and the audience LOVED your poetry.”

Where I perform

Give me a stage and a mic (or a Zoom link if we’re not allowed to meet) and I’m all yours! I’ve performed stand up in pubs and at parties, for corporates and for charities, in the afternoon and after dinner. Whatever the setting, I’ll make myself comfortable, and make sure your audience feels that way too. For bookings, email bookings@tonikent.co.uk
