Well, it’s official – six months to 5-0, Day Two of getting the podcast back up and running, and my body feels like I need a sit down! Whilst the episode focuses on my knackered knee and the mystery that is the ‘Phantom Finger Bruise’; the ‘Milk of Human Kindness’ is what I should have called it. It’s a slightly longer episode today so why not pull up a chair and settle in.

No milk? No problem

The day got off to a great start with my lovely neighbour responding to my comment of “we’re out of milk as usual” with “Oh! I’ve got loads – want some?”. Not only did she save me from another bloody trip to the shop because my teenage son can’t seem to figure out that if he eats cereal at 10pm there will be no milk in the morning, she also saved me from same son moaning that there was no milk…

And so, I was able to get out on my walk with Luna Bhuna earlier to record a few thoughts on the following:

  • Changes to your body
  • Working out what to do about those changes
  • The absolute respect I have for friends that are 50-ish..

I also reference a piece I wrote on mid-life being the hard yards, something you can check out here:

Why Mid-Life for Women is the Hard Yards
